Data We Do NOT Collect

• Your name, email, phone number, or any contact information
• Your calculations, conversions, or history
• Your location
• Your device identifiers for tracking purposes
• Any personally identifiable information (PII)
• Your voice data (voice recognition is processed on-device)

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The app uses your device's localStorage to save:

• App settings (theme, sound, haptic, decimal places, voice language)
• Calculation history (last 100 calculations)
• Currency conversion presets
• Metric conversion presets

This data never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time via the Settings → Reset All Data button inside the app, or by uninstalling the app.

Third-Party Services

🌍 Live Exchange Rates (Optional)

When you enable "Live Exchange Rates" in settings, the app fetches data anonymously from open.er-api.com. The request contains no personal data — only a simple HTTPS GET for current rates. Disabling live rates disables this network request entirely.

🎤 Voice Recognition

Voice commands use your device's built-in Speech Recognition API (provided by Google on Android, Apple on iOS, Microsoft on Windows). Audio is processed by your device's operating system, not by us. We never receive, store, or listen to your voice.

📱 Google Play Services

If you installed the app via the Google Play Store, Google Play Services may collect standard diagnostic information per Google's privacy policy.

📢 Google AdMob (Future Versions)

If a future version of this app includes advertisements via Google AdMob, Google may collect your advertising ID and non-personal usage data to serve relevant ads. You can reset or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads on Android).

Security

• All network requests use HTTPS (encrypted in transit)
• No authentication or login is required
• No personal data is ever transmitted
• App is distributed through official channels only

Your Rights

Because we do not collect your data, there is no personal data for us to access, delete, or transfer. To remove any locally-stored data:

• Use the Reset All Data button in the app's Settings panel, OR
• Uninstall the app — all locally stored data is automatically deleted

Children's Privacy

Nexus Calculator is rated Everyone and is safe for all ages. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Since we don't collect any data from anyone, this is true for all users regardless of age.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be noted in the app's update release notes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
